Linguistic Computing Systems (LingCosms) is a scrappy, lean, boot-strapped startup with no intention of ever seeking external funding or being publicly traded. If what you are looking for in a tech job is a swanky office in hip location with catered gourmet lunches and company-paid, on-site massages while you wait for an IPO to make you rich, then LingCosms isn’t your cup of tea. On the other hand, if what is important to you is making a fair wage while working with a lot of autonomy bringing cool, cutting edge tech to market as part of a flexible, respectful, fully-virtual team, then we might be a match. At LingCosms, we count on self-starters with the ability to quickly learn whatever it takes to handle new challenges — people with a “can do” and growth mentality. We minimize meetings, hierarchy, and formality in order to maximize productivity and project ownership. We expect hard work, but not at the expense of not having a life outside of work. And, we expect decency with all co-workers and customers, i.e., toxic behavior is just not acceptable.

In a somewhat more distant future, we will be seeking individuals to play broad roles in the early stage of the PFB, Inc. start-up.
